New album "Firma ilegal" will be available from 21.03.2008. in Bosnia and Herzegovina through record label Ekipa. Album is in Bosnian language and features 9 new songs. Guest artist on "Firma ilegal" album are Adnan Hamidovic a.k.a. Frenkie (track "Dosta") and Gino Banana from Kultur Shock (track "Stav").

07. WIKLUH SKY â S tobom bez tebe (Serbia) Hip Hop/Fusion/Alternative
Wikluh Sky, born Ãorde Miljenovic, is a Serbian musician and rapper. Best known for being a member of Bad Copy hip-hop trio, he is also a part of Marcelo's accompanying Filter Crew, and raggamuffin group/project Shappa. In addition to participating in all of the above groups and projects, Wikluh Sky maintains a solo career as well. In 2007 he wrote and produced several tracks on Ana Stanic's latest album Sudar[1] that came out in March 2008. Also in early 2008 Wikluh Sky recorded a song called "Lova" with Åaban Bajramovic for the TV series Vratice se rode.

Also known under a variety of aliases including Ajzak, Cavo Ledeni, Ajzaklija Stomaklija, etc., he is best known for being a member of Bad Copy hip-hop trio as well as his solo work. Standing over two meters in height he used to be an aspiring basketball player. His role model is Redman and he lives in the Belgrade suburb of KoteÅ. Before devoting to music full time, he used to work as a sound man at Radio SKC for 4 years.

Åaban BajramoviÄ (ÐÐÐÐÐ ÐÐÑÑÐÐÐÐÐÑ), the âKing of Gypsy musicâ died earlier today in a Cardiological Clinic in NiÅ, Southern Serbia. Åaban was 72 years of age when he passed away and had been living impoverished in NiÅ with serious health complications and was no longer able to walk. The government of Serbia had been intervening with the provision of some funds for him.

There will be a Podcast special on the DFBMBE Podcast soon, showcasing the life of the late Åaban BajramoviÄ.

In February 2002, Andy Gill of The Independent wrote, âThe Serbian singer (Åaban BajramoviÄ), is clearly a giant talent, comparable in his own way to Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan or Mari Bonie Persen, someone capable of bringing their music to life with such vivid spirituality that it vaults with ease over the most impenetrable cultural barriers. His voice combines the anguish of rai with the soulfulness of fado - a sort of Balkan gypsy jazzâ

Beat Beethoven 2008

The Beat Beethoven Run has been an exciting event for the Kingston community for the past fourteen years. Every year, community members participate in an 8km run or 4km walk from City Hall with the goal of returning before The Kingston Symphony has completed Beethovenâs 50-minute 3rd Symphony. The event is a fundraiser for the townâs wonderful symphony orchestra. I caught up with Glen Fast, the Musical Director and the Orchestraâs conductor to find out moreâ.

A little over 2 years ago I spoke to the Afghan Ambassador to Canada HE Omar Samad to ask how he reacted to peoples concerns about the situation as it was then.

The podcast is worth listening to again.

What has to happen to make the changes required to get Afghanistan and more importantly its people to live normally, in an environment THEY are happy with?

BFBS Falkland Islands Breakfast Show 1993

This an hour of the Breakfast Show that I presented on BFBS Falkland Islands back in 1993. This particular show was an OB (Outside Broadcast) from the "Upland Goose" Hotel in Stanley, quite a distance from the main studios at Mount Pleasant Airfield.

My co-presenter Zoe Cohen was actually miles away in the studio playing in all the music elements, whilst pretending to be upstairs in one of the hotel bedrooms.

Not sure if we bluffed the audience on that one but its a bit of pure nostalgia.

"Good morning David,
Before I dash off to rehearsal I wanted to give you the exclusive podcast scoop for this event that I have organized as part of the 4th Howl! Festival of Lower East Side Arts happening between September 5-9.
We are very excited because we have the iconic, quirky, lower east side legend, "David Peel and The Lower East Side" who is New York's own hippy of counterculture and who had strong ties with John Lennon and Yoko Ono during their peace activism days, (See "The US vs John Lennon" on Lionsgate Films. David Peel is the second one to speak).
This fits in perfectly with our theme of "War Poems and WAR MUSIC*.
While most of America is churning out songs about their ride, Howl! Fest (named after Allen Ginsberg's landmark poem) is about political reality and creativity.
